Project Overview
A manufacturing facility contracted Batfix to commission a new CNC milling machine. The project demanded more than just mechanical assembly; it required high-precision calibration of all components to ensure the machine met industrial accuracy standards.
Technical Audit & Preparation
Installing heavy industrial machinery always begins with the foundation:
- Foundation Analysis: Evaluating the site for vibration stability.
- Power Audit: Preparing a dedicated power line to handle peak spindle and cooling system loads.
- Grounding: Implementing a proper grounding circuit to protect sensitive CNC electronics from EMI.
Commissioning Stages:
- Leveling: Positioning the machine using precision leveling tools to prevent frame distortion and premature guide rail wear.
- Geometric Calibration: Verifying axis perpendicularity and spindle runout.
- Electrical Wiring: Assembling power circuits and connecting the control cabinet.
- Software Integration: Configuring post-processors and calibrating tool-length sensors (Z-zero).
The Result:
The machine was successfully commissioned and brought up to full operational capacity. During test milling, accuracy tolerances were confirmed within 0.02 mm.
Complexity: High (Industrial Grade). Key Benefit: Equipment fully optimized for mass production from day one.
Batfix PRO: We speak the language of tolerances, precision, and industrial standards.
